Welcome to Campification. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of campification.org and its services (the "Service"), operated by Campification ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to create an account or submit content.

2. The Service

Campification provides informational listings about campgrounds, RV parks, and dispersed camping areas across the United States, aggregated from public sources and community contributions. The Service is provided for general informational purposes only.

3. Accounts

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. User-Generated Content

The Service may allow you to submit content such as campground suggestions, comments, reviews, and photos ("User Content").

  • You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.
  • You represent that you own or have the rights to the content you submit and that it does not infringe the rights of others.
  • You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, misleading, or that violates any third party's rights.
  • We may review, edit, or remove User Content at our discretion, but we are not obligated to monitor it.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data except as expressly permitted;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
  • Upload malware or engage in any activity that harms the Service or its users.

6. Third-Party Data and Accuracy

Campground information is drawn in part from third-party sources, including U.S. government and other public data sources such as Recreation.gov, the National Park Service, and other federal, state, and local agencies, as well as community contributions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing. Conditions, availability, fees, access, and regulations change frequently. Always verify details with the official campground, land manager, or governing agency before traveling or making plans. You use campground and outdoor information at your own risk.

7. Data Sources and Disclaimers

Campification draws on public data from sources including Recreation.gov (RIDB) and the National Park Service, used in accordance with each source's data and API terms.

Campification is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Recreation.gov, the U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service, or any government agency.

Campground and recreation information is provided as-is and is not independently verified. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Confirm details with the campground or managing agency before relying on them. Campification is not liable for decisions made based on this information.

8. Intellectual Property

Except for User Content and third-party data, the Service and its original content, features, and branding are owned by Campification and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without permission.

9. Advertising

The Service is supported in part by third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertisements and any linked third-party sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content, products, or practices. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and them.

10. Links to Other Sites

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAMPIFICATION AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Campification and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes become effective when posted, with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Service or other users.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida.
